The Color Alchemist, The Yarn, and The Dye Pot
I've been absent for a while, too long! So much has happened since 2020 and I've missed working on my business but things are turning around. I'm so excited to be back with a new approach to creating color, a new look for my website, and more time to dedicate to creating for you, my customers! I've been busy the past few months rebranding and recreating my online store. I also took Alanna Wilcox's Color Alchemy Masterclass to improve my knowledge of color theory. I learned Alanna's process to dye custom colors and I'm continuing to hone my skills through monthly color palette challenges she has created for her workshop graduates. An option of dyeing custom colors for my customers will become available once I'm confident I can create the color match you ask for.
My first color palette, I chose the picture and created the palette. After quite a few attempts I came up with very close matches, because it will never be an absolutely perfect match trying to match dye color to digital color. I'm happy with my results. I hope you continue to follow my journey in color alchemy and the evolution of Pleasant Valley Fibers!
